Add to Slack
In Project settings → Integrations → Slack, a project admin chooses Add to Slack and approves TaskDeck in Slack.
Add a channel
Pick a channel, the board it follows or all boards, and the events it gets, then save. To post in a private channel, invite TaskDeck to it first.
Send a test
Send test posts to the channel, so you can see where updates will land.
What a post looks like
A card’s changes from the same few seconds arrive as one post.
- Coloured by event
- A colour stripe for the kind of update, and the card’s key and title linking to it.
- Who did what
- A line for each change, with who made it. AI agents are marked (AI), and comments are quoted.
- The details
- The column it moved from and to, the assignee, the checklist’s progress, the estimate and the due date.
- Where it lives
- The project, board and tags at the bottom, and a button that opens the card in TaskDeck.

Good to know
- One workspace per project. Reconnecting replaces it; switching to another workspace clears the channels.
- A channel can follow every board or one, and can have separate settings for different boards.
- Slack shows updates; nothing in Slack changes a card. The button opens TaskDeck.
- Only project admins connect Slack and choose channels. Everyone on the project can see the connection.
- Slack is on every plan. Disconnecting revokes TaskDeck’s access to the workspace.
