Common questions
Is TaskDeck right for your team?
What is TaskDeck used for?
TaskDeck is a task and project management tool for small teams. Use shared Kanban boards to organize product work, plan sprints, manage a launch or track everyday tasks. Each card keeps the task's owner, checklist, dates and discussion together, and rules, GitHub, GitLab and Slack keep the board in step with the rest of your work.
What is the difference between a project, a board and a card?
A project groups related work and the people who can access it. A board organizes that work into columns that represent stages, such as To Do and Done. A card is one task that moves through those stages.
Can I use TaskDeck without an AI assistant?
Yes. Create and manage projects, boards, cards, sprints and timelines in the web app. AI assistant connections are optional and available on Pro and Max.
What can a connected AI assistant do?
It can read your boards, create and move cards, update checklists and post progress comments through MCP, the connection standard supported by compatible assistants. You choose whether it acts as you or as a named agent with access to selected projects, and a board's routines can hand a card to Claude Code or Codex. TaskDeck tracks the work; your connected assistant performs the tasks you ask it to do.
What is included in the Free plan?
The Free plan includes one project with unlimited boards, cards and teammates, plus sprints, insights, automations, board imports and the GitHub, GitLab, Slack and webhook integrations, with 1 GB of storage and 30 days of card history. No credit card is required. Connecting an AI assistant requires Pro or Max.
How do I get started?
Sign up with email, Google, GitHub or GitLab, create a project and a board, or import one from Trello, Linear, Jira or GitHub Issues, then add your first task card. Assign it, add a checklist and move it across the board as you work. Invite your teammates when you are ready to share the work.
